“Take your Photography from Dull to Dramatic!”

Meier Camera is pleased to present from Detroit Michigan, John Tree. Over the last twenty years he has photographed hundreds of weddings and worked at a leading portrait studio in Livonia, Michigan. As an active member of both the Professional Photographers of America and the Detroit Professional Photographers Association, John’s photography is in constant evolution. John is providing hands on training in the studio and on-location with a model, including an opportunity for you to shoot and receive personal instruction.
Seminar will include:
- Posing and helping your subject to feel comfortable for a natural look
- Posing a single subject, couple or a group of people
- Composition with Style and Impact!
- Use of a flash with a bracket- no more redeye and ugly shadows
- Demonstration of location lighting
- Use of flash and natural ambient light
- Fundamentals of exposure- how to maintain detail even in a high contrast scene
- Setting a custom white balance
- Lens choice- focal length makes a huge and visible difference
- Use of a one, two, or three light set –up
- Lighting Ratios- from flat to dramatic
- Use of reflectors in the studio and outside
We’re going to hold our seminar at the fabulous H Hotel on Main Street in downtown Midland. An excellent lunch served by the “H” is included, and we’ll all enjoy learning and shooting in such an elegant location
